Hyatt and American Airlines announced this week that they’re ending their partnership, only for Hyatt to announce a new, exclusive relationship with Delta just hours later. The Delta partnership will include dual earning for eligible elite members: World of Hyatt elites can earn Hyatt points on qualifying Delta flights, while Delta Medallions can earn SkyMiles on qualifying Hyatt stays, on top of their usual rewards. As someone who is both a Delta and Hyatt loyalist, this is a match made in heaven for me.
All-business-class airline La Compagnie just announced nonstop service connecting Newark to Düsseldorf Airport starting in Spring 2027. Operating weekly on their A321neoLR that has 76 lie-flat seats, La Compagnie will be the only airline offering direct service. Düsseldorf might serve as a massive economic hub but let’s be honest: I’m mostly just looking for any excuse to finally book a flight on an all-business-class plane.

Juvet Landscape Hotel — Alstad, Norway
Deep in a forest in Norway sits a property that you might recognize as the backdrop from Ex Machina, but the real reason to book is how seamlessly its architecture blends into the surrounding landscape. The cabin never touches the terrain, thanks to thin steel rods that are anchored straight into bedrock keeping it hovering off the ground. Inside, massive floor-to-ceiling glass walls take center stage, framing incredible sights of the river and mossy canyon wilderness. Paired with a concrete bathhouse built into the riverbank and communal dinners in a restored 100-year-old barn, it remains one of the ultimate Scandinavian dream stays I’m itching to check off.
