This is Window Shopping, a weekly briefing from Window Seat. Every issue covers essential news in luxury travel, spotlights one exceptional hotel, and shares personal updates or recent product discoveries.

United’s Chef’s Table menu is getting a fresh lineup of Polaris-exclusive preorders 11/1. This time around you’ll find options like Nancy Silverton’s spiral meat lasagna and Tomos Parry’s grilled halibut in rotation. Having tested two dishes from the first drop (both of which I still rave about), I have high expectations for this next round, which will be available until the end of December.

Seats.aero—easily one of my favorite award search tools—just integrated with ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. Instead of spending hours researching dates and routes, you can now literally just ask: "How can I fly business class from NYC to Europe next month using 100k Amex points?" and get actual options. It’ll even break down transfer partners and redemption values (plus, Pro subscribers get live searches and alert management). If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by award travel, this is definitely worth a try.

In the rest of the issue: What it’s like to experience the height of luxury commercial aviation (without ever stepping foot inside an airport!) and a stunning just-opened hotel that’s putting Cape Town even higher on my travel wishlist.
