This weekend, I’m heading back to Europe for the second time this year. (Just typing that out makes me swell with gratitude.) The reason? To witness my dear friend get married to the love of her life in Braga, Portugal. But before the wedding, I’m tacking on a jaunt to Amsterdam. It’s one of my husband’s favorite cities (I’ve never been), and we found great business class flights routing through the Netherlands to get us to Portugal. (Pro tip: sometimes it’s smarter to book the cheapest flight to anywhere in Europe and then hop a budget airline to your final stop.)

Despite being a die-hard planner, I’ve been so swamped I haven’t mapped out full itineraries for either place, just a few spots I’d love to hit. But you know what I have made time for? Packing. As always, I built out outfits around the specific moments I anticipate, even if the plans themselves are still fuzzy. Below, you’ll find a mix of styled looks that double as a preview of the stops on my itinerary.

Read on for:

  • A peek at my low-effort Amsterdam itinerary, built around what to wear and where to go

  • Shoppable links for every look (and shoes!) that will carry me through 20,000+ step days

  • My exact fall trip packing system (including a Notion template you can steal)

  • Links to some of the top spots on my Amsterdam hitlist, from vintage shops to listening bars
